Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead its family of 47, soon to be 48, Catholic schools serving over 14,000 pupils aged 3–18.
This is a senior executive role with responsibility for the educational performance, financial sustainability and Catholic life of the Trust.
Working closely with the Board of Directors and the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, the CEO will provide visible, Christ-centred leadership and act as Accounting Officer for the organisation.
The postholder will set and deliver the Trust’s strategic vision, ensuring high standards across all schools while preserving and strengthening Catholic education for future generations.
They will lead and hold to account headteachers, executive leaders and the central team, build leadership capacity across the Trust and ensure robust governance, risk management and statutory compliance.
The successful candidate will be a practising Catholic servant leader with significant senior leadership experience in education. They will have a secure understanding of Catholic education, system leadership and organisational improvement, alongside the credibility to lead complex and diverse communities.
This is a vocation as well as a role, offering the opportunity to shape the future of Catholic education across the Diocese.
